KILTAU Sada Vellettia (Patterson) Kiltau – Born on Nov 9, 1914 and peacefully passed away on Nov 29, 2023 at the remarkable age of 109. With Angel Wings, a Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma went to the great garden in heaven.
So loved by her family, Sada leaves to cherish her memory her Children: Nina Ries, Vaughan Kiltau, Merl Kiltau, Dawn (Ernie) Moser, Monty Kiltau, Candy (Ivan) Koehler, Laurie (Randy) Schneider. Grandchildren: Charles (Diane Blij Christensen) Ries, Roberta JoAnne (Gary) Brehm, Elissa (Brett Brochu) Mudry, Shannon Kiltau, Cameron (Hannah) Kiltau, Kim (Laurie) Moser, Sheldon (Erin) Moser, Brent Kiltau, Craig Kiltau, Marc (Kyla) Kiltau, Holly (Ryan) Misener, Heather (Jason) Timko, Brandon (Tatiana Piotrowski) Koehler, Bradley (Lindsey) Schneider, and Leslie (Heather) Schneider. Great-Grandchildren: Keara & Alexis Christensen, Ashton (Jamie Anderson, son Jaxon McEwan) & Shay Brehm, Reed & Daisy Moser, Ashley (Austin Frederiksen) Thiessen, Chiron & Riana (Liam Davies) Kiltau, Zoe, Benjamin & William Kiltau, Tristan & Luca Koehler, Andi Timko, Bruce Misener, Jaelyn & Maci Schneider, Brock & Austin Schneider. Daughter-in-laws: Lucille (Dave Laliberte) Kiltau, Gloria (Darrell) Kiltau and Selene Kiltau. Her Sister-in-law Ella Eichorn along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Sada was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Edwin Kilthau. Her parents Timothy & Elsa Patterson, her sisters & their spouses Kathryn (Wayne) Schlosser, Dorothy (Albert) Blackey, Inez (Jack) Dieno and brother Arleigh (Shirley) Patterson. All but one of Edwin’s siblings and spouses, son-in-law Joseph Ries and Merl’s friend, Shelley Gleeson.
Sada was born on the family farm east of Luseland, SK. Her mother decided that she was going to be a nurse. After high school, Sada was accepted into the Registered Nurse training program. She then married Edwin in Feb 1945. Sada was devoted to all her family. Marked by love, resilience and a vibrant spirit, Sada left a lasting, memorable impression on all who knew her or met her. Her presence will not end with her passing and she will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A heartfelt thank you to all who inquired about her well-being and offered kind words during her passing. Special appreciation goes to the staff and residents of the Western Senior Citizens Home for their compassionate care over the years. A service will be held Thursday, Dec 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Leader United Church. Donations can be made to the Western Senior Citizens Home in Leader or the Salvation Army in Maple Creek.

    Your mum was truly a special person Candice. Remember her as a nurse at the leader hospital, her great spirit and willingness to help. Always presented a positive attitude to those who required comfort.
    You should be proud to being part of such a special person,
    Hard to appreciate the history development she witnessed in her life.
