MARION RASMUSSEN 1949 ~ 2023
Marion Rose Rasmussen passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the age of 74 years, beloved wife of Richard Rasmussen of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Michelle Heitman of Lethbridge; her grandson, Travis Worden; her brother, Mike (Leigh-Anna) Anton; two nieces, Seigharra (Danny) Neufeld and their daughter Kynnlei and Cortney (Jason) Dola and their children, Payton and Brant. She was predeceased by her parents, Mathias and Caroline Anton.

Marion and Dick married in 1976, and began a lifelong companionship filled with devoted love and adventure. They enjoyed taking houses and making them into homes with their own special touches. They travelled to many countries and as they got older, snow birded down south where Keno was a favourite pastime of Marion’s. She took great pride in her home where she always welcomed all, was a fantastic cook and baker, and her green thumb produced amazing gardens.

Marion will always be remembered by her kind, giving, gentle soul and will be missed by many.

At Marion’s request, a private time of family remembrance will be held at a later date.

  8. Linda and Ed Gertner says:

Sorry to hear of Marion’s passing. Growing up on Riverside together and spent a lot of time at Riverside pool in the summer gave us a lasting connection. She was always pleasant and though we were not very close of the latter years, the Riverside bond and parents growing older at the same time was a commonality and she will be missed by all who knew her.
