Psalm 139 vs 13 & 16 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Cramer on January 1st, 2024. Born on February 5, 1991, Gary was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and friend whose untimely departure leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Gary is survived by his loving parents, Albert and Angie Cramer, and his cherished siblings, Ryan (Brianne) Cramer (Eden, Rhys), Courtney (Steven) Buesink (Zachary, Noah, Hannah), and Jenna Cramer. Gary was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and received his education at Medicine Hat Christian School and Eagle Butte High School graduating in 2008.
Gary grew up working at the family greenhouse business, Rolling Acres Greenhouses Ltd. He worked closely with his dad and began taking over the greenhouse in 2020. At the time of his passing, he was running the greenhouse as owner/operator with his dad as his trusted advisor. Gary loved growing. He took great pleasure in watching the crops grow and improving with each year.
Gary was a talented pianist. He took lessons in his younger years with Win Hanover.
Win fostered Gary’s love of music and was instrumental in encouraging his piano pursuits.
In 2021, he bought a polished white Yamaha piano and started taking lessons again, this time with Chris White at Westminster United Church. Gary’s piano skills flourished under Chris’s instruction, we were amazed.
He would always play for you when you dropped by his house, he enjoyed an audience. His favourite musical pieces were classical compositions by Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart. His signature piece was Sonata Facile in C by Mozart. ‘Uncle Gary’ also took great delight in watching his nieces and nephews playing piano.
Gary found joy in the outdoors.Whether it was snowboarding, biking, water sports, or hiking to waterfalls, Gary embraced each moment with enthusiasm and had an infectious smile that lit up any room.
Gary’s love for life was evident in his genuine connections with friends and family. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. He truly had a heart for the hurting and saw the best in people. His enduring legacy is defined by the immense love he shared with his family and the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit.
