JAMES CRAWFORD March 14, 1934 ~ January 18, 2024
John James ‘Jim’ Crawford, beloved husband of Maxine, passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Along with Maxine, his loving wife of over 69 years, Jim’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of his children: Garth (Deborah) Crawford, Dawn (Bryan) Meaden, Gail (Kelly) Snider, Guy (Jenny) Crawford, Amanda (Ed) Wist and Chandi Crawford; 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Medicine Hat to proud parents, Robert and Lily Crawford. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers. Later on, he also worked as a linesman for the WHL. Jim made many good friends through his many years of working with Canada Post. He retired at the age of 55, providing him with some much cherished, extra time to be with his family. Jim’s faith in Jesus Christ was very important to him as was evident through his involvement in numerous ministries within Medicine Hat and abroad. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be deeply missed. The family are grateful and want to thank the AHS Home Care Team members who assisted Jim in his last few years at home. Jim’s life will be honoured through a Private Celebration to be held in the coming days. Relatives and friends contacted by the family may join the private celebration virtually by visiting Cook Southland’s website and selecting the View Broadcast button on the homepage at service time.
