She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Jerome (Tammy) Hellman, Roberta (Brad) Stober, Arlene (Brad) Miller, Claudette (Darren) Hoffart, and Jason Hellman; grandchildren, Kiri (Danny) Lister, Kristin (Dylan) Armstrong, Kevin (Laura) Brittner, Jerret (Allysa) Brittner, Jolene (Shaun) Dunbar, JaraLee (Justin) Schafer, Josh (Mikayla) Miller, Trinity, Magdalene, and Niko Hellman; great grandchildren, Jase and Braxton Lister, Chloe and Jax Armstrong, Nora and Brynn Brittner, Hailee and Brooklyn Schafer, Ava and Max Dunbar, Bridget Miller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Steve and Frances Biko, two miscarried siblings, and one sibling who passed shortly after birth. Mom grew up in Liebenthal, Saskatchewan. Growing up, she loved to spend time helping her dad in the yard and the fields. She especially loved to work outside. She loved music and won a few talent shows in her younger days. Mom listened to live music every chance she got. She played many instruments like the guitar, piano, organ, and the accordion. Mom loved “Mary” so much. She couldn’t say the rosary enough in a day. Medugorje was a very special place in her heart. One of mom’s greatest joys in life were her grand kids and great grand kids. She enjoyed every activity she was invited to. She was so proud of her family and never wanted too miss anything. She loved to spoil her grand kids. Every Halloween, she would have the kids pillowcases full of candy before they went out trick or treating. Every holiday was the same as well, no oneleft empty handed. Mom loved babies. If there was a baby, she held it. She enjoyed baking, knitting, doing crafts, and loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She loved working on the farm and took great pride in the farm yard, keeping it in tip top shape at all times. Mom enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, especially at Burger King on the weekends. Nothing was to much for mom. She still whipped out ladders to change light bulbs, clean windows, or chase away woodpeckers, and still enjoyed shovelling snow. Mom enjoyed time in the Cypress Hills every summer enjoying fun family filled holidays over the years. Mom’s life was turned upside down when dad was injured and moved to Meadowlands. In December she got influenza and it really took a tole. However, this past week she was out at the farm in Richmound cleaning and packing up for the farm sale. She enjoyed every minute out there, and completed the task one day before she passed. Farm life was where her treasured memories were made. I’m sending prayers and sincere condolences to the family of Delores Hellman. The family will recognize my maiden name Kambeitz, the daughter of Frank and Theresa. Both Robert and Delores were always so friendly when we saw each other, usually after mass at Holy Family church. Delores was a creative, hard-working person and she will be missed.
