JERRY ZIEBART April 20, 1938 ~ June 20, 2024
With a broken heart, Jean announces the passing of her beloved husband, Jerome ‘Jerry’ Ziebart. He passed away at the Sunnyside Nursing Home in Medicine Hat on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the age of 86 years. Along with Jean, left to remember Jerry are his two daughters, Jody Ziebart and her family, children, Dustin and Jessica and her daughter, Graylee; Linda (Russell) Price and their family, children, Danielle (Scott) and their son Silas; Jenna; and Brennan (Cierra) and their son, Nathan, many dear friends as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was born the sixth of eleven children to Aloysius and Elizabeth Ziebart. He was very proud of serving the Medicine Hat community as a firefighter for 34 years, retiring as Platoon Captain. In Jerry’s younger years, he was very athletic playing both hockey and baseball. He was an avid Blue Jays fan who never missed watching a game. Jerry was a jack of all trades who could do a little of everything including woodworking. He spent many hours helping out friends and family including farming and ranching. Jerry’s family would like to thank the amazing staff at Sunnyside for the care they provided as well as the laughter and kindness they’ve always shared with him. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
