KEN MALTBY

KEN MALTBY 1940 ~ 2024 Kenneth Arthur Maltby was born in Guelph, Ontario on December 12, 1940, and passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on August 21, 2024, at the age of 83 years. Left to honour his memory are his children, Terri (Denis) Bolduc, Darleen Cave, Greg Cave, Jasmina (Stewart) Scheuerman, Marc (Amanda) van Montfort and Elaine van Montfort as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings ranging from Medicine Hat to the Maritimes. Ken found his calling driving truck, acquiring over a million kilometres in over 50 years, which was one of his proudest achievements. The freedom of the highway and the satisfaction of a job well done were among his greatest joys. Ken also had a passion for working on small engines, a skill he honed over the years. On January 17, 1996, Ken married Marija van Montfort. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, enduring until Marija’s passing in 2018. After losing her, Ken found love and comfort in the company of his family and friends. Rest in peace Ken. You are now reunited with Marija, together again on a new journey.
