ANDERSEN, FAITH January 11, 1949 August 22, 2024
Faith Arlene Andersen (nee Siewert), passed away peacefully from natural causes on the evening of Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the age of 75 years.
She was born on January 11, 1949, in Empress, AB, to Henry and Betty Siewert. Faith grew up on the family ranch near Mendham, SK, where she shared her childhood with her brothers Adrian and Garth, and her sister Peggy. Faith remained connected with her siblings throughout her life. They enjoyed regular gatherings and numerous tropical vacations, creating lasting memories together.
Her passion for caring for others led her to train as a registered nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, AB. It was a career she loved and still nursed part time until her passing.
In 1970, Faith married Richard Andersen, and together they had two children, Todd Alan Andersen and Kim Arlene (nee Andersen) Krease. Though their marriage ended in divorce, Faith’s love and dedication to her children remained strong. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Bryanna Andersen, Rayanne Andersen, Colten Krease, and Madison Krease, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Known for her wicked sense of humor, Faith loved to make others laugh, bringing joy and lightness to those around her. When visiting her children and grandchildren she never showed up empty handed; she always had a bag of goodies.
Faith will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love for her family, and her infectious laughter. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Faith is survived by her children, Todd (Mai) and Kim (David); her grandchildren, Bryanna, Rayanne, Colten, and Madison; her siblings, Adrian (Wanda), Peggy (Bruce), and Garth; and numerous other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Betty Siewert, and her sister-in-law Audrey.
A Memorial Service celebrating Faith’s life will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Faith’s honour.
