BILL DONOHUE 1962 ~ 2024 William James Donohue, more affectionately known as Bill or Billy, age 62 of Medicine Hat, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the second child of Jeannine and the late William James Donohue. He is also predeceased by his step-father, Owen Hazel.Bill proudly served his country as a Paratrooper until his retirement in 1996.Bill loved fishing and the outdoors. He was passionate about many things in life including butchering, cooking and especially community involvement. Bill was most passionate about spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit and smart-ass comments, his kindness and willingness to help others, but most of all, for his unwavering love and devotion to his family.Bill will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Jacquie ‘Jake’; his loving children, Justin, Mackenzie and William; his brothers and sisters, Donnie (Leeanne), James, Cindy (Mike), Linda (Danny) and Owen (Tammy) as well as his extended family.Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, October 25, 2024, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (MDT) with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating and a time of fellowship thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
