Ron Fetch of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at the age of 69 years. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his children, Ryan (La Rae), Sarah (Wayne), and Breanne (Jeff); grandchildren, Gavin (Brittany), Ashlyn, Aspen, Ainsley, Easton, and Emerson; brothers, Terry (Diane), Rick (Crystal), Willie (Diane), and Keith (Tamara); sisters, Judy (Chris) and Joyce; friend and companion, Theresa; and her children, Michele (Marty) and Shane (Lisa); grandchildren, Richard, Samara, Connor, and Keaton; great grandchild, Zaden; brother, Keith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Velma Fetch; brother, Ken and sister, Darlene. Ron was born on September 4, 1955 in Regina, Saskatchewan where he spent his early years. In 1982, he relocated to Medicine Hat, where he discovered his true calling as a Health Care Aide. His compassionate care left a lasting impression on the many residents whose lives he touched. He was recognized for his sharp wit, charisma, and deep passion for 10-pin bowling. This beloved sport filled his life, as he dedicated countless hours at the bowling alley, playing, sharing critiques, and offering advice to his children, teammates, and anyone eager to learn. When he had a moment to spare, you could find him enjoying a game of cards, where many believed he was truly fortunate. Despite facing numerous health challenges throughout his life, Ron showed unwavering strength and resilience. He never let these obstacles define him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Carmel Hospice for their exceptional support and dedication during Ron’s final days.
The Funeral Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Father Roque Pereira officiating. If unable to attend, family and friends are welcome to participate via livestream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on Ronald’s memorial page at the above date and time. A virtual guest book is available on the livestream page for those participating remotely. A private interment will follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
