1960 ~ DENISE HAUCK ~ 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Katherine Hauck. Denise passed away peacefully at the Calgary Foothills Hospital on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, at the age of 64 years old, after a long, arduous battle with cancer. She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Kay Hauck (Clint) and Kate Michalczyk; her two grandchildren, Coleton Hauck (Ashlee), and Paige Harrison Hauck; as well as her great-grandchildren; Nevaeh, Hudson, and Parker. Denise lived for her grandchildren and will always have a special place in their hearts. She also leaves behind her sister, Anita Nagel (Cliff); three brothers, Robert Hauck (Brenda), Darcy Hauck, and Leslie Hauck; nephews and niece, Clay Nagel (Madison), Brayden Hauck, Jared Hauck, and Kayla Hauck (Jarod); as well as their children, Ivy Nagel, and Brinley Flexhaug. Denise was pre-deceased by her loving mother, Katherine Hauck, and her adoring father, George Wendlin Hauck, whom she missed very much. We are sure that they met her with open arms and are comforted by the fact that they are together now. Through the years, Denise was an avid pool player and baking aficionado. In her later years, she spent a lot of time crocheting blankets and other items for her family and friends, as well as baby caps and booties to donate to the hospital. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed group activities of any kind with family, whether it be meals, canning tomatoes, or taking long drives and “car-dancing” to the music. Denise was born in Leader SK, on October 11th, 1960. She was a full-time bartender, working in various bars doing what she loved most: caring for people and making them laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humour and a contagious laugh. She loved nothing more than cracking a beer, joking around, bantering with her patrons, and driving her children crazy. She will be truly missed. A Graveside Service will take place at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
