ANNETTE EGLAND

ANNETTE EGLAND February 8, 1937 November 2, 2024 Our emotions are tangled between the sadness for the empty space in our lives with the passing of our Mom (lovingly called “Nonee” by her grandchildren), and the joy we have that she has joined her soulmate, Russell Egland, who she was married to for over 60 years.
Annette was born in Spalding, Saskatchewan, and moved to Eastend, Saskatchewan, in 1952 where she met Russell. They were married in 1955. Annette kept herself very busy raising their family and embracing the everyday challenges that accompanied being a farmer’s wife. She was a member of the Kinette Club and had numerous hobbies, including ceramics, knitting, crocheting and reading romance novels, when she had the time. She was an extremely talented chef and baker. Annette was the kind of person that people were drawn to, and had many friends in Eastend, Medicine Hat, and throughout her and Russell’s travels abroad.
The end of her journey was difficult but we are grateful that our mom gave us time to say goodbye and let us know that she was ready. Her soul was released from this world in peace.
Annette is pre-deceased by her love, Russell, mother (Mabel Selmon), Father (Morris Selmon), and her brother (Max). She is survived by her sister, Sandra (Maurice and Family). She is also survived by her sons, Lee and Dean (Marcelle), and daughters, Tracy and Nina (Craig), grandchildren Jeffrey (Ashley), Kylan (Jordan), Kayden, Christopher (Martina) and Allison, and step-grandchildren, Brandi and Brandt (Stephanie). Annette was also blessed with great grandchildren, Peyton, Blakeleigh, and Callie, and step-greatgrandchildren Laine, Payson, Lauren and Chandler. A large family that loved her dearly.
Her love and spirit will never be forgotten. We will love you Mom/Nonee/Grandma, always.
Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in the memory of Annette Egland.
