LAVALLEY, Patricia “Pat”
Posted: January 4th, 2025 PATRICIA “PAT” LAVALLEY 1947 – 2024 Patricia (Pat) LaValley of Lethbridge, aged 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 30, 2024, at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Pat spent most of her early years growing up in Warner, AB and moved to Lethbridge with her family in Grade 12. She worked with various Real Estate companies over the years as well as spending the last 10 years in the bakery at Walmart.
She loved all animals and often told stories of how, as a young girl, she would ride any horse she was offered access to, just to get the chance to ride. After owning a few horses, she then became involved in owning and showing dogs and has spent the last 30 years actively involved in dog sports with her much loved canine companions. The sport of Flyball took her, along with her immediate family, to many different places in North America over the years. The dog sport community was her second family, and she had many friends who will miss her there.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Mona (Kurt) Johnson and grandchildren Riley and Tianna. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Tim Coolidge; sisters-in-law Sheila Newinger and Joanne Newinger, as well as nieces and nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond LaValley; parents Trudy and Merv Newinger; and siblings Deb Coolidge, Ken Newinger and Merv Newinger.
Pat did not want a Funeral Service, but her family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Flowers are gratefully declined.
