ROBERT SHEAVES 1960 ~ 2024 It is with profound sadness that we announce the un-expected passing of Robert Lewis Sheaves on December 27, 2024, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Robert was born on August 4, 1960, in Gallo, Ireland, and held a deep pride in his Irish heritage. He later moved with his family to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where he developed a passion for various activities, most notably his love for woodworking and landscaping, taking great pride in his crafts- manship.
Robert eventually settled in Medicine Hat where he spent the remainder of his life, endearing himself to the community. Known affectionately as “Uncle Rob” to many close friends, he was recognized for his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and his warm hospitality. He formed deep bonds with numerous people in Medicine Hat, often opening his home to friends. Robert possessed a heart of gold, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved partner, Jane Jordan, with whom he shared 15 cherished years until her passing in 2019. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members, including his niece, as well as his close friends, Carlee Cole-Walters, Doug Abraham and McKenzee, Logen, and Fenix. A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once confirmed. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com) Honoured to serve the family is
