Barry Edward Miles Bueckert, loving husband of Norma, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Along with Norma, Barry leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Katherine (Daniel) of Charleston, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Jace, Rayne, Nathan and Kadan; siblings, Lorna (Lloyd), Greg (Shelly) and Chris as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Keith in 2017. Barry spent most of his life working diligently in the lumberyard, where he became a familiar and friendly face to many. His deep faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his relationships and the many ways he chose to serve others. Barry was a social butterfly, always eager to strike up a conversation and bring a smile to someone’s face. He had a special knack for connecting with people, often handing out candy as a small but meaningful gesture of kindness. He believed in the importance of giving and sharing, values he embodied every day of his life. Barry’s faith and trust in God remained strong and his family is content knowing he is at home with Jesus. A Celebration of Barry’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
