He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents and his father-in-law, Arnold Sorenson.
Robert was born in London, England and was raised in Westward Ho! North Devon. He joined the British military in 1988 and served in Northern Ireland and the Gulf War. Robert wore his medals with pride! He met the love of his life, Danika, while on a training exercise in Canada and they were married in England in 1997. In 1998, they moved back to Canada to raise their two boys. Robert worked in the oilfield for 17 years before moving on to work for CPKC as a train conductor.
Robert was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain cancer in July of 2024. He underwent treatments in Calgary and fought right until the end. Robert had alot of support from friends and family and enjoyed it when someone would stop by. He especially loved spending time with his family, traveling the world and adding to his collections.
