MAUREEN HIMMELSPACH December 6, 1948 ~ March 1, 2025
It is with profound sadness that Ralph announces the passing of his beloved wife, Maureen Eldeen Himmelspach. She passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Along with Ralph, Maureen’s memory will be forever cherished by her family: son, Frank (Gina Waddington) Duchcherer and their children, Amber Sailer, Kyle Duchcherer, Bryson Duchcherer, Jordan Street and Shandi Street; daughter, Wenonah ‘Nonie’ (Steve) Waters and their children, Steven Waters, Kailey Reuer, Brittany Reuer, and Jacey Cross Child; daughter, Laura Mulner † (Brent) and their children, Paige Mulner and Hannah Mulner; daughter, Laura (Jason Smids) Himmelspach and their children, Amelia Smids and Vincent Magdziarz; son, Timothy Himmelspach and his children, Ryn Himmelspach and Averie Himmelspach as well as numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack (Brenda) Hamilton and Bob Hamilton, sister-in-law, Anna Carlson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence ‘Specs’ and Eldeen Hamilton.
Maureen was born, raised and received her education in Medicine Hat. Following school, she worked for a period of time as a teacher’s aide for disabled children and later as a hairstylist, sharing her warmth and creativity with her clients before meeting the love of her life, Ralph Himmelspach. The two were married on August 8, 1995, embarking on a new life’s journey together. Never one to shy away from adventure, Maureen earned her Class 1 driver’s license and joined Ralph on the open road, logging well over two million miles across North America as a trucking team. Their travels created countless memories, with special fondness for their trips to Texas. She had a passion for motorcycles, especially her beloved trike, and cherished the freedom of the open road. Her love for the outdoors shone through in her camping adventures, beautiful garden, and the house full of plants she tenderly cared for. Maureen’s zest for life, love of nature, and unwavering companionship will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dignified cremation has taken place and a Celebration honouring Maureen’s life will be held at a future date.
