VERVOORT GUY DENIS VERVOORT passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Chinook Regional Hospital with family by his side. Guy is predeceased by his first wife of 58 years, Wilma; by his parents Peter and Regina; brothers Gus, Louie, and Frank; and sisters Jean and Julian.
Guy is survived by his second wife of 5 years, Ruth Rittenhouse; sons Guy (Mary Helen), Ron (Corinne), Denis (Mary-Ann), and Richard (Joanie). Guy has 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Guy is also survived by his sisters Mary, Josee, and Hilda; and in-laws Jack and Mary, Gerrit, Grad and Annie, Mary, and Irma and Bill.
Prayers will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 St. S., Lethbridge, on Thursday, May 29th, at 6:00 P.M.
A Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405-12 Ave. S., on Friday, May 30th, at 11:00 A.M., with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
