1940 ~ JOE LITOWSKY ~ 2025 Nicholas “Joe” Litowsky passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at the age of 84 years. Joe is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Tina Milley (nee Litowsky); sons, Joe Litowsky and Gerald Litowsky; brothers, Bill Litowsky and Bob Litowsky; sister, Susan Tiebs (nee Litowsky); as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Bertha, in 2014, and wife, Shelly, in 2022; parents, Madeline and Bill Litowsky; and brother, Wally Litowsky. Joe was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on October 7, 1940. At the age of 17, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served for five years. After leaving the air force, he loved living and working in Jasper, Alberta. Joe moved back to Medicine Hat in 1973, where he was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also involved in scouting. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed watching movies about planes, trains, and the military as well as listening to music. Joe’s family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at River Ridge Seniors Village for their excellent care of Joe. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Crescent Heights, 1865 Division Avenue N, Medicine Hat, AB, on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Bishop Aaron Milner conducting. The Interment will follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
