ALBERT JAKUBOWSKY 1947 ~ 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Albert Edmund Jakubowsky on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the age of 78 years, with his loving family by his side.
Albert was born in McLennan, Alberta, to Edmund Jakubowsky and Alice Deslauries. In 1974, he moved to Manyberries, Alberta, where he met the love of his life, Karen Jakubowsky.
Together, they built a beautiful life and home, blending their families in 1977 with their three sons: Neil (Tamra), Ken (Dawn), and Mark (Christine).
Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He dedicated much of his life to his family and his business, A.J. Backhoe, which he operated with pride until his retirement in 2007.
He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Jessa (Brett), Sarah (Justin), Aryssa (Tyrel), Raylah (Ty), Keanna, Ella, Emilee, Jay, and Stevie, as well as his 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.
Albert is also survived by his siblings: Edward (Maria) Jakubowsky, Rosalie (Ernie) Schneider, and Zella (Clifford) Tangen. And Daughter-in-Law Debbie Sibley.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Karen, his parents Edmund and Alice, and his sisters Vicky (Bud) Gulliford and Leila (Gunner) Erickson.
Albert’s legacy of hard work, love, and devotion to family will live on through all who knew him.
He will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude.
An Open House Celebration will be held to honor and celebrate Albert and Karen Jakubowsky from 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the MEDICINE HAT MASONIC HALL, 42 Bannon Ave SW.
