FARBERG, Alice “Ally”
Posted: October 31st, 2025 ALICE “ALLY” FARBERG 1951 – 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Margaret Farberg at the age of 73. Alice (Ally) passed away peacefully on October 24/2025. She was born in Lethbridge, A.B. to Mr. and Mrs. John Dewar on December 2, 1951.
Alice’s love of skiing and the outdoors led her to the perfect career as a letter carrier for Canada Post. She had many friends there and really enjoyed her time playing on their mixed slow pitch team.
Alice began dating Allan Farberg in the early 1980’s and after several years they were married in the Bahamas. Enjoying summers at the lake or the backyard pool, and spending winters on a tropical beach somewhere filled their lives with joy and fun.
Ever the social butterfly, Alice enjoyed dancing, karaoke, hiking, and celebrations of all kinds. She loved to waterski, travel, and rip around town in her Datsun 280zx or later in her white BMW.
Alice lived and enjoyed life to the fullest and encouraged those around her to do the same. She was bold and unafraid to stand on her beliefs. She had a giving heart, willing to help those who needed her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank everyone at Legacy Lodge/Choices in Community Living for all their love, kindness and care in supporting Alice over the last 13 years. It means the world to us.
Alice is survived by her son Ryan D. Carlson of Lethbridge; Stepson Jason (Kelly) Farberg of Lethbridge; Stepdaughter Janis Farberg of Stirling; and 4 step-grandchildren Cassidy and Riley Farberg of Lethbridge and Mackenzie and Kirsten Farberg of Stirling.
Alice is predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Dewar, her sister Agnes Dewar, her loving husband Allan Farberg, and her beloved dog Costas, all from Lethbridge, A.B.
The family will be honoring Alice in a small private ceremony. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Lethbridge and District Humane Society.
