STEEL Danny Lawrence Steel of Brooks, Alberta passed away in Brooks on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at the age of 66 years. Danny was born in Claresholm, Alberta on May 10th, 1959, son of John Lewis and Younne Horner. He spent his youth in Claresholm and graduated from Willow Creek Composite High School. Danny married Kathleen King on November 21st, 1992, in Blairmore, Alberta. He worked for the Claresholm Hospital and Claresholm Care Centre, as well as the Brooks Health Centre, Grasslands Public School and, most recently, as an Appliance Technician for Tred Appliance in Brooks. Danny enjoyed photography, camping, hiking and video games and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humour, laugh and loyalty to important people in his life. He was predeceased by his father John Lewis Steel. Danny is survived by his mother Yvonne Backstrum; sister Donna Jonns (?); brothers, Douglas Perret and Robert Dean Steel; separated spouse Kathleen Steel and daughters Anna Marie and Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Pastor Dean Steel officiating.
