FRASER, Robert “Bob”

FRASER Robert Lewis Fraser, husband of the late Donna Fraser, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025 at the Raymond Health Centre.
Robert was born in Raymond, Alberta on April 28, 1947 to Lewis and Margaret Fraser.
Bob attended Olds College where he studied and excelled in Animal and Plant sciences. He then served a mission in Bakersfield, California and later married Donna Johnson in July of 1969.
Bob purchased the land next to his parents where he raised his family and continued his farming career like his father. Bob always had a passion for farming and nature of all forms. Bob enjoyed hunting pheasants and white tail deer. His farm always had an assortment of niche animals including buffalo and his beloved dachshund’s.
Bob served on the board of the Raymond Irrigation District, where he played a role in the transition of flood irrigation ditches into modernized PVC pipe.
Bob also served diligently in his church callings over the course of his life including bishop and the stake presidency. Bob loved studying his scriptures deeply and had very detailed notes with his thoughts written within them.
Bob had a deep love of reading various forms of literature to further his knowledge whether it be agricultural articles or Zane Grey stories, which were a personal favourite of his, many of which he could recite paragraphs by memory.
Bob is survived by his children; Becky Jo (Derrick) Passey, Robin (James Nikkel), and Todd (Stacy) Fraser; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Virginia, Margaret, Linda, and Shirley. He is predeceased by his wife Donna and his sister Lavonne.
A private family service will be held at Temple Hill Cemetery.
