EDNA LORRAINE HART (BAUMBACK)
Posted: December 5th, 2025 EDNA LORRAINE HART (BAUMBACK) January 17, 1951 – November 29, 2025 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Edna Hart, who gently left this world on November 29, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Home at the age of 74. She was born on January 17, 1951, to Ernie and Aletha Baumback, both of whom predeceased her. She married her high school sweetheart, Gordon Hart, with whom she shared 52 years together until his passing in February 2024. Their life together was a testament to devotion, partnership and unconditional love.
She leaves behind a family who adored her including her daughters, Alisha (Doug) and Rene (Ken); son, Sheldon; cherished grandchildren, Aysha, Naveen, Stephanie (Owen), and Nathan (Sydney). She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Harriet and Oliver, who brought her immense joy. She is survived by her sisters, Barb (Ian), Ruby (Bob), Carol (Dennis); and brother-in-law, Bill (Marguerite†). She will be dearly missed by her extended family and many treasured friends.
She was known for her warm, outgoing nature and generous heart. She made friends easily and brought comfort and kindness wherever she went. A creative soul, that loved design, art and discovering beauty in everyday life.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to all the kind staff at the hospital and St Joseph’s for their exceptional care and compassion throughout her journey. Her memory will continue to live on in every story shared and in all the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved, Gordon.
