GLORIA RUTH WEISS (NÉE HUBER)

GLORIA RUTH WEISS (NÉE HUBER) March 31, 1937 – December 30, 2026 Gloria Ruth Weiss (née Huber) was born in Serath, Saskatchewan, and grew up on the family farm in Olds, Alberta. She passed away peacefully on December 30, 2026, and was welcomed into heaven by her Lord. Gloria graduated from the University of Alberta in 1959 and devoted her career to nursing, later completing postgraduate studies in public health before retiring in 1985. In 1963, she married Roy A. Weiss at East Olds Baptist Church, sharing 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2016. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, Pearl and Gene Huber; as well as many nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Freida Huber; her brother, Len Huber and her beloved husband, Roy.
Gloria will be remembered for her kindness, patience, generosity, and deep love for her family. A funeral service will be held January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wuerfel Auditorium, South Country Village, 1720 Bell Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB with the interment to follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery, 5160 Gershaw Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB.
