1932 – 2026
Elaine Mary Anne Holt, beloved wife of the late Douglas Holt, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the age of 93 years.
Elaine is survived by her daughter Debra (Bryson) Brown of Lethbridge and her son Brad (Connie) Holt of Calgary; grandchildren Amber, Misty, Jared, Hilary and Scott; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Wes, Audrey, Rod and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Douglas, Elaine was predeceased by her daughter Renee, sister Sylvia and by her parents Chris and Hilda Lodermeier.
Elaine was born in Lethbridge on June 6, 1932 and raised on the family farm near Milk River. She married Douglas and together they raised their children in Cardston before moving to Lethbridge.
Elaine had many talents and was very artistic. She loved painting and enjoyed music. She played the piano by ear and could entertain with any song just by having you hum the tune to her.
Elaine’s first love was her Saviour Jesus Christ, whom she loved with all of her heart. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
The Funeral Service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. A private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.southlandfuneral.com.
