Posted: April 23rd, 2026 JOSEPH TOTH 1932 ~ 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Toth at the age of 94 years. Joseph was born on March 17, 1932, and passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta, on April 19, 2026.
He is lovingly remembered by Verna Toth, his devoted wife of 73 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary Toth; his brothers, Mike, Steve, and John; his sisters, Mary, Kay, Anna, and Helen; and his eldest son, Jim.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his children: Carmen Toth, Jeanette (Ray) Viola, Jolayne (Barry) Banack, Wayne (Susan) Toth, Dennis (Cindy) Toth, and Terry (Debbie) Toth. He will also be greatly missed by his 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Joseph’s life was marked by service, dedication, and integrity. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the Canadian Pacific Railway. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and fishing, creating many treasured memories with his family through stories, laughter, and time spent together.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joseph served in many callings throughout his life, including Bishop, temple worker, and Mission President of the Budapest Hungary Mission. His faith and service were an important part of his life and legacy.
Friends may meet the family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2213 6A Avenue N, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 7-8pm.
A Funeral Service will be held in his honour at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2213 6A Avenue N, Lethbridge on Saturday April 25, 2026, at 11am.
A private family interment will take place.
