FLORENCE ANNA ENGLISH

FLORENCE ANNA ENGLISH July 27th, 1943 April 19th, 2026 Mrs. Florence English passed away on Sunday April 19th, 2026, at the age of 82. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Joanne (Bob) Hall, Nora (Les) English, Steven (Shannon) English, Glenda (Darrell) Bierback, and Allen (Jennifer) English; her eleven grandchildren, Justin (Kaitlyn), Tyler (Kristen), Kayla (Dave), Kim (Jordan), Kelly, Sean (Melissa), Jason, Ashley (Travis), Derick (Sam), Michael and Matthew; her thirteen great grandchildren, Emily, Brooklyn, Kylie, Adianna, Ava, Olivia, Ozzy, Wyatt, Hannah, Harper, Emma, Grady and Maeve. She will also be forever remembered by her very good friend, Steve Gorko.
Florence was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Lloyd English; her parents, Pearl and Albert Petersen; as well as her siblings, John, Robert and Doris; and her great granddaughter, Abbey Gail.
Florence was born July 27,1943 in Stettler Alberta. As she grew in Stettler she attended school and was an avid figure skater. She was a health care aid when she met and married Lloyd English July 8, 1960. The family moved frequently in the early years due to Lloyd’s oilfield work. Florence and Lloyd settled in Redcliff where she raised their five children, joined the CB club and frequented the YMCA for aquafit. During this time when she wasn’t on the wellsite with Lloyd, she volunteered with the Redcliff United Church where she taught Sunday school and served the church on different committees.
After the family moved out, they relocated to Medicine Hat where she enjoyed time spent watching her grandchildren play sports, as well as countless fishing and camping trips.
In her last few years Florence enjoyed cruising with her friend Steve in one of his many cars and often having coffee with friends and spending time with family.
