Posted: May 2nd, 2026

BARTLETT It is with great sadness that we announce that SHERYL JOANNE BARTLETT, beloved wife of Robert M “Bob” Bartlett of Lethbridge, passed away on April 27, 2026 at age 78.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her son Scott Bartlett-Brown (Kristin) of Edmonton, Bob’s son Richard Scott (Maureen) of West Vancouver, her granddaughters, Eden and Jada Bartlett of Calgary, and Kayla and Alyssa Scott of West Vancouver. She is also survived by her brothers Sherwin (Linda) and Lorne Lehman and her sister Lana Nikiel (Michael) all of Medicine Hat as well as her sisters-in-law, Sherry Ohlmann (Larry) of Kelowna, Ethel Lewicki (Greg) of Calgary and brother-in-law Bill Bartlett (Robin Charlebois) of Lethbridge. Sheryl was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Hertha Lehman of Medicine Hat.
Sheryl was born in Medicine Hat on December 13, 1947. Sheryl earned a certificate in Office Administration and was working at the City of Calgary when she met Bob, her husband of 53 years. After marrying in 1972, Sheryl and Bob moved to Lethbridge and welcomed their son Scott into the world the following year. She worked for Alberta Parks and Recreation and then turned to managing the family acreage for 31 years.
Sheryl loved to sing, was passionate about golf and hiking, was very involved in her church and was devoted to her family. In Calgary, she was a member at the City of Calgary choir. In Lethbridge, she sang with the Southern Accord Chorus and the Mix It Up Quartet. There are not many golf courses in Southern Alberta that weren’t honoured by her presence over the years, often for 27 holes or more in one day.
Sheryl was a long-standing adherent of the Evangelical Free “E-Free” Church of Lethbridge and a former member of the Christian Women’s Club of Lethbridge. She also loved her Church group. They met weekly and after every meeting, when asked how things went, her comment was always “great”. Most of all, Sheryl loved her family. She turned 18 again every time one of her granddaughters, or her niece Nicole showed up at her door or called.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lethbridge EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF LETHBRIDGE – 4717 24 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, May 8, 2026. Doors will be open at 1:00 P.M. to gather together with a short program beginning at 1:30 P.M. At Sheryl’s request, more casual dress is encouraged. The Celebration of Life will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Sheryl’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
Flowers are respectfully declined. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sheryl’s name to the Cardiac Sciences Capital Campaign at the Chinook Regional Hospital (crhfoundation.ca) or to a charity of your choice.
