SNOW, Dawn

Posted: May 13th, 2026

SNOW, Dawn (née Higgins) Dawn has left to dance in another venue. Life gave her a good run at careers in pharmacy, dentistry, communications and fundraising. Through it all she was always drawn back to the arts as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Over the past two decades she struggled against a balance disorder that took that away. Married for 55 years, she is survived by her son Douglas (Dar), husband Peter, her furry guardian Haico and a flurry of Snows. Dawn was predeceased by her parents Jack and Maxine Higgins. Always a ‘glass half full’ girl, Dawn rarely held back a helping hand, a hug or an opinion. Quick to anger or tears, she wore exuberance like a mantle, never preventing the girl in the woman from peeking through. Dawn managed to draw out something unique in each of us. She is gone now, but not lost to those who knew her – only to those who never had the chance. The family is grateful for the compassionate care Dawn received at London Health Sciences Centre, Ontario Health At Home and VON. As per Dawn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A remembrance will be held later at the ranch in Milk River.
