Kay was raised in the Coaldale area and graduated from the Alberta Mennonite High School. During Henry and Kay’s 61 years of marriage, Kay spent her days as a homemaker. Her family appreciated her attention to detail whether in the home or in her garden.

One of Mom’s greatest passions was playing the piano. She loved to play hymns and continued to play piano until the day of her passing. The last song she played was “Jesus loves me”.
