LESLIE “LES” ROSS CADWALLADER
November 20th, 1957 – May 8th, 2026
Les Cadwallader passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice at 1:25 AM on May 8th.Born November 20th, 1957, in Victoria BC; the third of four brothers, and phenomenal lacrosse player. Les moved to Saskatchewan at 18 and fell in love with the Prairies; although briefly returning to Vancouver where he fell in love again with Carol Bell and had one son, Nicholas Cadwallader. Moving his family to Medicine Hat, Les worked as a Crane Operator for nearly 30 years. Les found a second family in the Medicine Hat Pool Community, making many of his best and closest friends. He enjoyed walks, Blues music, learning, The Saskatchewan Roughriders, and breakfasts at Ricky’s. Les spent his final weeks with his friends & son; watching the Montreal Canadiens and enjoying coffee & apple fritters in the comfort and care of St. Joseph’s. Les Cadwallader, you lived life on your own terms; learning, adapting, and growing through whatever life threw at you. We are all proud of the great man you became. A Loving Father, Great Brother, Wonderful Friend, Hard Worker, Animal Lover, Masterful Pool Player, Kind Spirit, and an Amazing Human Being. Rest easy Les; you will be missed more than you know, loved more than works can describe, and will never be forgotten.

A gathering to celebrate and remember Les Cadwallader will be held at Schooner’s Pub on Saturday, May 30th starting at 3:00 PM for all who would like to honor and celebrate the life of a great man.
