MEYERING It is with great sadness that the family of JANTINE “TINA” MEYERING announces her passing on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 93.
Tina was born on October 12, 1932, in Rolde, Netherlands. In 1955, she immigrated to Canada with her beloved husband, Johannes Meyering, beginning a new life filled with hard work, adventure, family, and lasting friendships. Johannes predeceased her in 2022 after many wonderful years together.
Tina will be lovingly remembered by her children: Bert Meyering and his partner Corrina Callahan; Dick Meyering and his partner Debbie Gibson; and Dinah Sailer and her husband Rory Sailer. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Chelsea Meyering and her partner Dereck, Geoff Meyering, Devon Sailer and his wife Randi Sailer, and Danielle Loyns and her husband Curtis Loyns. Her six great- grandchildren — Braeden, Jayde, Aspen, August, Archer, and Austyn — brought her tremendous joy and pride.
Tina was predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers.
For 23 years, Tina worked at Zellers, where she built many friendships. She was a truly social person who enjoyed connecting with others wherever she went.
In retirement, Tina and Johannes spent 11 happy years in Arizona, enjoying the sunshine, friendships, and many adventures traveling in their RV. Together they biked countless miles and created treasured memories along the way.
Tina had a special love for traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loved card making.
She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, adventurous spirit; she always spoke her mind.
She gave love and encouragement to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful inspiration to all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Palliative Care and all her friends who cared for her and supported Tina at Grandview Village and Black Rock Terrace. She will be deeply and forever missed.
A Celebration of Jantine’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:00 A.M.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tina was a wonderful lady. She hired me right out of High School to work at Zellers and when I went for the interview she said that I would start the next day. I stayed employed there for a few years. I know she will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
