AVON FINDLAY JENSEN, beloved wife of Kelvin Jensen, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at the Cardston Hospital.
She leaves to mourn her beloved husband and best friend of 62 years Kelvin; 5 children: Doug (Wendy), Wendy (Gibb) Schaffer, Jack (Sandi), Mike (Lisa), Billy (Laurie); 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, 3 brothers and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Avon would warm the hearts of everyone with her loving smile, warm hugs and unconditional love. She was a happy, caring mother and grandmother, who was adored and loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her calm, loving, influence will be greatly missed.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings and loved the opportunity it gave her to serve others. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her eldest son Wayne, granddaughter Danica Schaffer, sister Edra Kiemele.
Friends may meet the family at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, September 7th, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. OR at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service.
The Funeral Service will held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta Stake Center (East Hill), Cardston on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Carey Quinton officiating. Interment in the Aetna Cemetery.
