HENRY Iris

IRIS MAXINE HENRY, beloved wife of Edgar Henry passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 81 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Arlene and Julia Wiggill; brothers Jerry, Bill; sisters June, Ruby; granddaughters Mary Maxine and Amanda Lee. Iris leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Edgar of almost 66 years; daughter Sandra (Gary) Perry of Fort Macleod and their children Tammy, Lori and Jason; son Greg (Debbie) of Magrath and their children Kandace, Marla and Greg Jr.; son Gerry (Margaret) of Del Bonita and their children Jessica, Jody, Jeri-Lynn and Jeff; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Iris was born on July 8, 1931. She lived in Rinard, AB for 14 years and then moved to Cardston for 1 year. She then moved back to Del Bonita, AB where she married Edgar Henry on December 9, 1946, together they lived there for the rest of her life.
Iris was a good mother, grandmother and wife. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Girl Guide Leader and helped with Mutual for Youth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also would open her home to stranded strangers, when there was bad weather. She worked at the Del Bonita General Store & Post Office for 33 years. She also enjoyed being able to visit everyone who came in the store. Iris had a great memory for names and people’s faces. She will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her best.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Welling, AB, with President Everett Morton, Officiating.
Friends may meet the family at the church on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Archmount Cemetery.
