PAVAN Murray

Posted: November 21st, 2012

MURRAY JOSEPH PAVAN of Lethbridge, beloved spouse of Rosalind (Roz), passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on November 19, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 62.
Murray was born April 27, 1950 in Lethbridge to Louis and Elizabeth Pavan. He attended school, starting at Sunnyside, R.I. Baker, then Kate Andrews, with time at Olds College, University of Lethbridge, and Lethbridge Community College. Murray was part of the venerable Pavan Dairy and farmed north of Lethbridge for many years before opening a farm equipment assembly business. He recently retired, to golf, travel and let the wind blow past him on motorcycling adventures.
Murray married Rosalind in 1975 and both welcomed a daughter McKinley in 1977 and later a son Marc in 1980. He will be greatly missed by his wife Roz, his children McKinley (Chuck) and Marc (Leslie), grandchildren, mother, sisters Jean Anne (Ted), Marie and Audrey (Ron) and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father Louis. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his work ethic, his strong sense of family and a large circle of friends.
A memorial to celebrate Murray’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the ITALIAN CANADIAN CULTURAL CENTRE, 1511, St. Edward Blvd North, Lethbridge. A meal will follow the celebration.
