KORTH Grace

Grace passed away peacefully at home in Calgary on February 26th, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born in Manyberries, AB on June 9, 1922. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen (Gary), sons Murray (Donna) and Terry (Donna), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and sister Mable Bloemhof. Grace was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2005.
Grace raised her family in Lethbridge and Calgary and was an outstanding teacher throughout Alberta until her retirement in 1987. She was always actively involved in many social and physical activities, living life to the fullest! She will be missed by her many friends in Lethbridge, Cortez Island, Campbell River and the Sierras of Heritage in Calgary.
A Mother’s love is something
That no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
And of sacrifice and pain.
It is endless and unselfish
And enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
Or take that love away.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
A short inurnment service will also be held in Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Procession to the graveside will leave from the front gate of the Mountain View Cemetery (11 Street S and Scenic Drive) at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary (www.childrenshospital.ab.ca) in Grace’s name.
