RONALD RAY MORGAN, 74, of Lethbridge, cherished husband of Sandra Morgan, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 following a valiant battle with heart disease.
Ron was born in Lethbridge on January 25, 1939 to Raymond and Gloria Morgan. He attended various schools in Lethbridge, graduating from the LCI. Ron worked as a salesman for Tip Top Tailors and Green’s Shoes and served in the army (Royal Electrical/ Mechanical Engineers) being stationed at various army bases in Canada. He departed with the rank of Sergeant. Ron then worked at the Transit Department of the City of Lethbridge, Canada Post, and for the Government of Canada for 24 years. After retirement he worked for the Corps of Commissionaires for 5 years.
Ron loved his family dearly and loved to spend time talking with and teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always said, “If a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right.” Ron had a great fondness for all animals, especially his 2 cats and 2 dogs and loved to travel when his health would allow.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Sandra; his sons: Richard, Rodney, Stephen (Amanda), and Greg (Cindy); grandchildren: Alexander, Brent, Keith, Ambre (Aaron), Shay (Jessica), Christian, Xavier, Kara, Brianne, Jordan, Justin, Justice, and Jess; great grandchildren: Jacob and Oliver. Also his brother: Randy (Lorraine); sisters: Jacquie (Gary), and Wendy (Gary); an uncle: Ray (Donna); a sister-in-law: Donna (Lloyd); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ron was predeceased by his mother: Gloria; father: Ray; grandson: Teran; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ron was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, West Stake Centre with Bishop Jeff Drollinger officiating. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.
Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
