ONEILL Donna Jean
Posted: April 3rd, 2013(nee Hudec) April 9, 1954 – March 22, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna O’Neill on March 22, 2013 in Fort Macleod, AB at the age of 58.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Don, children Ryan (Sarah), Amber (Vaughan), Patrick (Erin), Kelly (Melissa), Lindsay (Rodney) as well as her grandchildren Cael and Jack. Donna is survived by her sisters Ruth (Morley), Edith (Rick), Rita (Romeo) and brothers Lorne (Marnie), Jim (Carol), Larry (Bev) and Allan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donna was predeceased by her parents Toby and Josephine Hudec of Fox Valley, SK. Donna grew up on the family farm in Fox Valley, as the second youngest daughter in a large family of four brothers and three sisters. After graduating from high school, she moved to Calgary and began to raise her family and launched her career in education. After several years working in Calgary, Don and Donna, moved to Grimshaw, AB. and continued their careers as educators. They eventually relocated and settled in Fort Macleod. Donna and Don spent numerous summers at their condo in Sandpoint, Idaho and took great pleasure boating and socializing with family and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at the Fort Macleod hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, April 2nd 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort MacLeod, Alberta.
