Left to mourn are his wife Bev Perry, his sons Calvin (Anne), Hugh (friend Dora), Randy (Lynda), and extended family Bosco (Prisca) Baptistia, brother-in-law Cal (Pat) Jensen, daughters-in-law: June, Lynn, Ramona, and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Hugh Stewart and Emily Nelson Stewart, his brothers: Bert, Samuel, Roland “Duffy” and his sisters Dorthea, Elda and Laveda.
He is also predeceased by his wife, Della Jensen Stewart, sons, Donald Stewart and Gary Stewart, daughters-in-law Lori Beazer-Stewart and Felicia Stewart, grandchildren Gerry and Brian Stewart, and Roxy Doyle-Stewart.
Over the years Curly worked in a logging camp and saw mill. Later he started a trucking business, hauling grain and hay, then oil rigs and equipment, and later he hauled cars from Windsor to all over Alberta. He also moved the Cardston Legion from Mountain View. He built several dams and graveled roads including the first road up to Red Rock Canyon. He and Della spent four years on the ” Custom Combine Trail” from Texas to Alberta. Curly loved farming and ranching. Curly also loved dancing, which was the main reason he spent his winters in Arizona.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
