BAKER Edna

EDNA (RASMUSSEN) BAKER passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by her children: LeRay and Debbie Witbeck of Airdrie, Kevin Baker of Chilliwack, BC, and Melissa and Aron Gullickson of Airdrie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three sisters: Delecta (Alma) Sommerfelt, Thelma (Fred) Uibel and Erma (Bill) Bikman.
Edna was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Baker, her parents: George and Edna Rasmussen, her brothers and sister: Gordon Rasmussen, Howard Rasmussen and Jetta Howard, her children: Kenneth G. Baker, Corinne Baker and Denise Witbeck and a granddaughter Amy Lynn.
Edna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering and listening to music. Edna was a hairdresser during her early years and went on to work at the Raymond Care Center for about 20 years before retiring. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. Edna and Ken were married for 61 years before Ken’s passing. Edna will be missed by all who knew her.
The family wish to thank the staff at the Good Samaritans in Raymond for the excellent care provided during her stay there.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTRE, 2N 200 W, Raymond, with Bishop Craig Palmer officiating.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
In honor of Edna’s memory, a donation may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
