LEJBJUK Mary

MARY LEJBJUK beloved wife of the late Mike Lejbjuk, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on April 23, 2013 at the age of 85 years.
Mary is the loving mother of George (Heather): grandmother of Michelle (Rob), Stephanie (Cory) and sister to Tekla Melnyk. Mary was predeceased by her husband Mike ’96, daughter Helen ’94, parents Onufrij ’72 and Helena ’84 Sapiszczuk.
Mary was born in the western Ukraine; she immigrated to Canada in 1948 along with her husband, parents, sister, brother-in-law and niece, all settling in the Picture Butte area. She worked at Purity Dairy and later at St. Michael’s Hospital. They farmed in the Park Lake area from 1958 to 1974. When the family moved back to Lethbridge, she then worked at the University of Lethbridge until her retirement. The last two years she was residing at Garden View Lodge.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13th St. N., Lethbridge, AB, with Father Gary Sedgwick, Officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
