BERENT Barbara

MRS. BARBARA LUCILLE BERENT, beloved wife of Mr. Don Berent, passed peacefully away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the age of 74 years surrounded by family and friends.
Lucy was born to Earl and Kathleen Jensen on June 8, 1938 in Cardston Alberta. She was a sister to Karen (Len) Steinbrenner, Larry (Dawn) Jensen and Francis (Allan) Young. Lucy is survived by her loving husband Don Berent and their three children: Jim (Sheri), grandchildren Meaghan (Elliot) Tweedy, Mackenzie Berent; Darla (Tim) Superkoski, grandchildren Kahlaya (Graison) Clarke; Roger (Becky) Berent. There were also many adopted as extended family that she loved as her own.
Lucy met the love of her life Don while attending secretarial school in Lethbridge, and it was love at first sight. They were married June 8, 1957. Lucy always called Don her best friend and little buddy, her teddy bear. She was a loyal, trusted gem of a wife.
All that knew Lucy saw her as the most loving, kind, extremely generous, happy, compassionate, humble, loyal wife, grandmother, mother & friend. Lucille loved her God Jehovah, next her family, as well as gardening, baking, sharing and doing things for others.
Lucille dedicated her life to her loving creator Jehovah God by water baptism on August 2, 1962. Her strong Bible-based belief in the resurrection hope and living forever in perfect health in paradise on earth brought joy and comfort to her and those that knew her.
There will be a memorial service for Lucille on Monday, April 29 at 1:30pm, at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES – 1510 Stafford Drive North, Lethbridge, AB. Mr. Mark Thompson officiating. Reception to follow at the German Canadian Club 902 – 6 Street North, Lethbridge, AB.
