FIORINO Rita

RITA TERESA FIORINO passed away peacefully with her family at her side at St. Michael’s Health Centre, Palliative Care on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the age of 78 years.
Rita Teresa Pedretti Fiorino was born in 1934 in Sluderno, Italy. Her family moved to Grimaldi, Italy a short time later. In 1954, she emigrated from Italy to Trail, BC and was married to Peter Fiorino. In the same year the family moved to Lethbridge, Alberta.
Rita leaves behind a loving family: Michael and Connie Fiorino and their children Courtney, Sascha, and Natasha Fiorino; Mary Tokarski and Danny Christie and her daughter Amanda; Rob and Elena Fiorino and his son Peter; Dennis Fiorino and Colette Jinnouchi and their children Anna, Claire, Samuel, and Lucie.
A short time ago she was diagnosed with cancer and she accepted this terminal condition with grace. She was very grateful for the care and kind words from her many good friends and family at the end of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604-13th Street North, Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 7:00 P.M.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Roque Pereira, Celebrant.
Cremation to follow at Cornerstone Crematorium.
No flowers please as per Rita’s request, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
