BECKMAN Faye
Posted: May 22nd, 20131949 ~ 2013
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Faye Marie (Tetzlaff) Beckman announce her passing on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Milk River Health Centre.
Faye Marie was born on May 18, 1949, in Lethbridge to hard-working parents, Inger and Max Tetzlaff. Her and her only sister, Carole, were raised on the family farm with strong morals and strong family ties and a belief in hard work.
She attended school in Warner and took her nursing training in Lethbridge and excelled in her career.
On October 23, 1971, Faye married the love of her life, Gary Beckman. A young man who had moved out west from Nova Scotia, to work on her grandparents farm.
Together they farmed east of Warner and Faye pursued her nursing career at the Milk River Hospital. They enjoyed their married life together for ten years and then to their delight on, April 14, 1981, their first-born son Matthew was born. How Faye and Gary enjoyed their new family! On February 26, 1985, their dreams were fulfilled when their 2nd son Tyson was born. Their family was complete.
Through the years Faye was the boys’ most avid fan in whatever sport or activity they pursued. How she loved to watch them grow up. Hockey games were at the top of the list.
Faye loved to see the signs of spring and enjoyed seeing the new-born calves and loved their family pets which included many cats and dogs over the years. She enjoyed annual trips to Whitefish, Waterton, and in recent years, train trips to Lacrosse, Wisconsin to visit uncle Teddy and Amy.
Faye enjoyed her roles as nurse, mother and wife. Her gentle spirit and strong faith and character were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for over 22 years.
Faye was predeceased by her parents Inger, and Max Tetzlaff; her sister Carole and brother-in-law Steve Lucas; her mother and father-in-law Ada and Donald Beckman; as well as other family members.
She leaved to mourn her loving husband of 42 years Gary, her sons Matthew (Karen) and Tyson, nephew Jim Lucas, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her many dear friends.
A Celebration of Faye’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Warner Evangelical Church, with Pastor Jason Carroll and Pastor Brian Magee officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Faye’s Memory to the Milk River Health Centre, Box 90 Milk River, AB T0K 1M0, Warner Evangelical Church, Box 36, Warner, AB T0K 2L0, or to the Warner Fire & Ambulance, Box 88, Warner, AB T0K 2L0.

Faye has been a long time customer of mine at the Mall. From the GAP to American Eagle, I was always happy to see her walk in the door. Myself and my staff always loved to see her big, bright smile, her sunny, warm disposition, and even when she was ill, she always had the most positive attitude. We all love her and learned so much about life from her. She touched myself and many of my staff in a very profound way. She will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at what I am sure is an extremely difficult time.
