ICHINO Kuni

KUNI ICHINO, beloved husband of Mrs. Myrna Ichino, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away with his family at his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 at the age of 93 years. He was born on May 1, 1920 in Stevenston, British Columbia. His family ran a thriving business that included a store, lunch counter, and a taxi service. World War II meant uprooting to Alberta where he learned a new trade as a meat cutter and worked for Safeway for 25 years. He met and married Myrna and became a devoted family man. He enjoyed fishing, horserace’s, and baseball. Kunio is survived by his wife Myrna, his daughter Debbie (Jay) Won, his grandson Colton who was the apple of his eye. He will be greatly missed by all his family and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Lethbridge and District Alzheimer Society, 402, 740 – 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 0N9 or to a charity of their choice.
