Arthur (Art) William Krause, 93 years of age, passed away quietly at the Beverly Care Centre Midnapore, Calgary on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Arthur was born on January 16, 1921 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Anna (Tambor) and Herman Krause. Arthur joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940, and served his country as an aircraft mechanic. It was during the war years that Art met Lillian Mae Morris in Lethbridge, Alberta. Lil and Art were married June 12, 1946. Arthur is survived by his loving wife Lillian of sixty-eight years; and their eight children, Lisa Krause, Caroline Richards (Steve Richards), Tim Krause, Allan Krause (Sandi Krause), Susan Lewis (David Lewis), Lorne Krause (Roweena Machendagoof), Greg Krause and Paul Krause (Barbara Krause); grandchildren, Sarah Lewis (Ryan Campbell), Andrew Fournier (Michelle Buday), Mae Janik (Jake Janik), Michael Lewis, Jennifer Krause, Sean Richards, Nichole Martin (Jeff Martin), Laura Krause, Samantha Krause, and Jonathan Krause; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Janik, Oaklee Janik, Bennett Martin, and Lucia Campbell-Lewis. Art is also survived by his sister Margaret Shennette of Mississauga, ON. A Gathering to remember Art will be held at the Saskatoon Farm (80181 – 338 Avenue East, DeWinton, AB) on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
