TETJE “TERESA” de GRAAF, beloved wife of Pieter de Graaf, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the age of 90 years.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by: Hennie (Bill), Dirk (Phyllis), Jetty (Marinus), Janet (Jim), Pearl (Paul – deceased), Sid (Anita), John (Deb), and Ivan, 25 loving grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley and Alice Vander Ploeg as well as a number of Pieter’s siblings in Holland, Edmonton, and Washington State, USA. She was predeceased by her parents Siebren and Hendrikje Vander Ploeg, brothers Jan and Harry Vander Ploeg, sister/brother-in-law Joan and Ben Bouwman, son-in-law Paul Black, missing daughter Donna, and a number of Pieter’s family members.
Teresa was born on May 12, 1925 in St. Anna Parochie FR, The Netherlands. She immigrated with her husband, Pieter, her parents and her 3 siblings in July 1951 to the Vauxhall area. They raised their 9 children there and moved to Lethbridge in April 1989. She was committed to raising her children in a loving, Godly environment and worked tirelessly at providing for her children in the home. Her children and their families were a source of great joy to her and she looked forward to all their visits. Pieter and Teresa were able to celebrate 64 years of marriage on May 10th, 2015 and enjoyed living in the Gardenview Lodge and most recently at Legacy Lodge. She was thankful for all the friendships and care provided to her over the last four years.
A Private Family Interment will take place prior to the Memorial Service. The Memorial Service will take place at TRINITY UNITED REFORMED CHURCH – 1100 – 40 Avenue North., Lethbridge, Alberta on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Wybren Oord officiating.

my deepest condolences to Teresa’s family and to Piete. I was so very fond of her and I loved helping her. She will be so missed so much. ,
