ELSIE SUDO BROWN, beloved wife of the late Stanley Wilford Brown, passed away quietly at the age of 96 Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Prairie Ridge Good Samaritan Home, Raymond, Alberta.
Elsie leaves to mourn her children: Gary, Randy (Lana), Cherilyn (Dale) Jorgensen and Greg (Dana); as well as 13 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; also one sister, Dorothy Going and two brothers Robert and Ronald Sudo.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents Hisaji Sudo and Leontiene Coppieters and brothers: Ceston and George Sudo; sisters Maralda Brown and Gladys Audenart.
Elsie was born in Raymond January 21, 1920. Her memories of growing up were happy memories. Fun times with family and friends. Being the 3rd oldest she learned to work at a young age. Christmases were special to remember. Her sisters were her best friends.
Elsie married Stanley Wilford Brown on July 15, 1940. They had a wonderful life together. They worked hard on their farm south of Raymond. After 49 years on the farm they moved to Raymond and retired. Throughout the years Elsie enjoyed curling, camping, square dancing, bowling, golfing and winters in Arizona. She loved her family and loved their visits. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elsie was a good, kind and special friend to many and will be missed by all. Elsie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may meet the family at the LDS – Raymond Stake Center on Thursday, April 28 from 7-8 p.m. or on Friday prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTER, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Craig Palmer officiating, Raymond 7th Ward.
Interment to follow at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
