SMITH
RUTH IRENE SMITH was born May 15, 1943 in Greenfield, Massachusetts to Ruth and Olin Whipple. She was beloved wife of Doug Smith of Carmangay, AB and mother of Lisa Meyer and Ashley Milsop of Billings, MT, USA. She was Gram to Levi, Shilah and Ali Meyer of Billings, MT. She was Granny to Noah and Rachel Smith of Edmonton, AB and Bryson, Doran, Garan, and Quinlyn Smith of Cupar, SK. She was Great-grandma to Heath Todd of Burbank, CA, USA.
Ruthie was a remarkable woman; devoted family member and friend; skilled author, photographer, gardener, knitter, crocheter, baker, and cook; and an avid reader. She travelled the world with her family in spirit, praying them home every step of the way.
Ruthie stepped into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 26, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. We look forward to seeing her beautiful smile again in the Kingdom.
A small, private memorial with family and close friends is planned for a later date.
